In this old video, you will see my old large redtail shark chasing my rainbow sharks around. It is highly recommended to only keep one redtail shark/rainbow shark per tank. Keeping multiple together can work long term but there are key points to follow for it to work : 1) keep a group of 5 or more. This only includes redtail sharks and rainbow sharks. Bala sharks and roseline sharks are not part of the group. 2) Have a 100+ gallon tank 5 feet or longer. 3) provide lots of decor and hiding spots. 4) have plenty of dither fish. Now, these fish got along for the most part but as you can see in this video, this redtail shark was the tank boss and he would chase everyone during feeding time for like 30 minutes before going back to being chill. Yes, even with those 4 key points followed, you’ll still see some scuffles and chasing but not as severe as you’d see if you were to just throw 2 or 3 of them in a smaller tank.

My tank is full so I can’t add more fish and I have it fully scaped, so now what ? Also, I share what fish I want to get, but can’t because a few months ago, I ended up with a million friggin’ roseline sharks (denison barbs). Watch in “higher picture quality” 720p60 or 1080p60 !

I love the Dennison Barbs I have 7 of them and 2 of them are pushing the 5 inch mark.

They are very susceptible to bacterial infections. They come from water with very low bacteria in the wild, so they never had the adaptation to withstand it. Stronger filtration and a UV sterilizer should help with it, as well as limiting feeding. This is also a problem with fish like neon tetras.

I love the title...because people dont realize that the average tank WILL look ugly when you initially set it up. It takes time for everything to settle. I think you didnt lose any fish by losing the same substrate, and same filters.

Nice setup..what are you feeding them? I have 5 about 5" ... Three of them are loosing there red line down the sides..its just a lil pass the eyes now..have experience that b4..im wondering if i should chang food
